Jacalyn’s career in sports medicine and rehabilitation sciences spans nearly every Canadian province. A passionate Canadian and lifelong learner, her journey from athlete to support staff began at McMaster University as a student Strength & Conditioning Coach and therapist. She went on to specialize in Athletic Therapy at the University of Manitoba, and later completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta. She most recently defended her thesis on sport-related concussions at the University of Calgary.

Jacalyn has worked with athletes across a wide spectrum—from U Sports and Hockey Alberta to the NHL, AHL, pro baseball, and Volleyball Canada. She holds a Diploma in Sport Physiotherapy, is a Registered International Sport Physical Therapist (RISPT), and has completed numerous postgraduate certifications in areas such as concussion management, manual therapy, movement screening, pelvic floor, and dry needling/acupuncture. Currently, she serves as Treasurer and Executive Board Member for Sport Physiotherapy Canada.

A firm believer in movement diversity, Jacalyn stays active through soccer, 10km races, hot yoga, Pilates, mountain and road biking, pole dancing/silks, and even home renovations. She proudly excels at none of them—she simply loves to move.
