Drew completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology from Acadia University and is currently pursuing his Master of Science Kinesiology (Biomechanics) under Dr. Walter Herzog and Dr. Matt Jordan at the University of Calgary. His research focuses on the rehabilitation process of athletes and the identification of thresholds in the return to sport process - investigating the role of hip musculature strength on landing performance in ACL-reconstructed winter slope sport athletes.
While completing his undergraduate degree, Drew spent time working as the student athletic therapist for the Acadia Axemen varsity hockey team. He also worked as a performance coach with Flynn Training Systems where he delivered strength and conditioning programming for youth to elite athletes in a multi-sport training environment.
Since joining the Canadian Sport Institute Alberta, Drew has worked with 2018 women's slopestyle FIS points crystal globe winner Meg Oldham, 2018 men's slopestyle FIS points silver medallist Max Moffatt and Derek Livingston, bronze medallist at the Calgary Snowboard Halfpipe World Cup.
