Drew Lawson CSCA, MKin., B.Kin

Strength & Conditioning Coach

Drew holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology (Biomechanics) from the University of Calgary, where his research explored strength deficits and landing performance in winter sport athletes after ACL reconstruction. He is also a graduate of Acadia University and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA.

As the lead strength and conditioning coach for Canada Snowboard’s Halfpipe National Team and Freestyle Canada’s Halfpipe Ski National and NextGEN Teams, his work centres on refining off-snow training to meet the on-snow demands of training and competition. Drew utilizes his strength and power testing experience to make data-informed training decisions, ensuring athletes and coaches are actively involved in the process.

A former varsity hockey player at Acadia, Drew now spends his spare time road biking and trying new coffee shops, preferably at the same time.
