Originally from The Netherlands, Frank completed his Master of Science degrees in developmental psychology and sport psychology at the University of Groningen. Frank joined the Canadian Sport Institute Alberta in 2007. He has worked with national team level athletes in bobsleigh, skeleton, alpine skiing, wrestling, para-cycling, ski jumping, and other individual high-performance athletes.
Frank’s expertise includes; mental training & coaching, psychometric assessment, comeback from injury, team building, conflict resolution/mediation, coach education & support, eye movement desensitization & reprocessing, biofeedback & neurofeedback training, crisis intervention/psychological first aid.
His goal is to help athletes perform personal bests, but also to help them with their overall wellness, leadership, integrity, and joy. Frank also has a passion for working with Special Olympics athletes and coaches.
