Jason Sjostrom Bkin, M.Ed (in progress)
Director, Coaching Services
Jason grew up in Edmonton and moved to Calgary to pursue a Bachelor of Kinesiology and to compete for the University of Calgary gymnastics team. Currently, Jason is following his own philosophy of being a “lifelong learner” as he completes his Master of Education, design learning specialization from Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary.
Jason joined the Canadian Sport Institute Alberta in 2008 and is responsible for the delivery of high-performance coach education, including the Advanced Coaching Diploma. He thrives on being connected to some of the best sport science in the world and shares that knowledge with coaches – supporting them to provide quality, safe and inclusive sport programs.
Jason volunteers with the Calgary Police Service Bagpipe Band where he competes and performs internationally. He also has passions for philosophy, auto repair and he is a very proud dad.
